Forever Young

I’ve been thinking a lot about life recently

How fleeting and unfair it can be at times

How suddenly you left

Without a hug or a kiss goodbye

Maybe you were too good for this world

So much experience cramped into half a life

But then I smile

You are forever young

Forever in your prime

Forever with that beaming grin

I have no idea what happens when the light goes out

But maybe you‘re happy

Wherever you are

Drinking red wine and lighting up the room

Forever young.

I’m just waiting for the moment everything falls into place. A moment we may never reach A dream of happiness A dream of longing... belonging. A bond so mature and so naive You have rooted so deep But

This unrequited love A contagious chemistry I just can’t shake Tell me what you want to hear I just want you to be happy I can’t build on this But i don‘t think I’m strong enough To stop feeling thing

That’s when it hit me We have deprived ourselves of it for so long How can we learn again? I don’t think we realised until now I just want to be heard, talk to me, hold me I don’t know where to start
